Ray founded Four Seasons in 2005. “I wanted to offer something different from many other advisers. I wanted to concentrate on long term advice, building ongoing relationships and to be totally focussed on meeting our clients objectives, not selling products. These are still the guiding principle behind Four Seasons and the reason why we enjoy what we do.”
Ray’s an expert in all the areas you’d expect – from investments to pensions to annuities to tax planning for both companies and individuals. He is a respected commentator within the industry regarding risk adjusted investments and financial planning for retirement.
Away from the office Ray’s married with two teenage daughters. He enjoys most sports, plays golf well enough to be frustrated on a regular basis and tries to keep fit on his road bike – but probably not as often as he should.
Richard graduated from Exeter University in 1982 and began his career in the trading room at Banco Exterior the same year. He worked in banking for 20 years, before making the move into financial planning. “I’d had enough of being face to face with a computer screen. I wanted to be face to face with some real people that I could build long term relationships with.”
Richard joined Four Seasons early in 2012, setting up our specialist investment research process. Like Ray, he’s an expert wealth manager with a comprehensive knowledge of investments. He brings a wealth of investment knowledge and experience to our team. He specialises in blending our clients investments to match their needs. It's great to have a dedicated professional to concentrate on protecting and growing our client's assets.
Richard is married with two teenage sons, one of whom is shortly going to Hong Kong for six weeks’ work experience (while his Dad struggles not to feel jealous…) He’s a keen sailor and skier and an equally keen – although rather less proficient – golfer.
If you phone the office Fran is likely to be the first person you speak to – and if Four Seasons has a reputation for outstanding customer service…well, it’s largely down to Fran. She is the glue that holds all the administration together.
She loves walking and visits new places most weekends. You will no doubt notice the Aussie accent, honed from the many years spent downunder.
Joyce is fully qualified financial adviser in her own right – with 37 years’ experience in financial services – but she now looks after the review processes and paperwork.
According to Joyce, “A lot of the clients have become good friends and I really value the personal service we offer. We always talk about a partnership between the client and the advisers and I hope I play my part in that.”
Joyce has two grandsons who keep her on her toes and when she finally gets a break she likes nothing better than travelling. Cyprus is a favourite destination, but as Joyce says, “I don’t mind, as long as the sun is shining…”
Our superb team of administrative staff help keep the wheels of Four Seasons turning. They have got to know many of our clients as well as the advisers have, and are an essential part of the Four Seasons machine.
